Henry Schein is marking the 20th anniversary of Practice Pink, its global initiative involving healthcare professionals, supplier partners, employees, and nonprofit organizations in support of cancer research and prevention. Since the program began 20 years ago, Henry Schein and its partners have contributed more than $2.1 million to cancer-related causes. The initiative supports organizations involved in research, prevention, early detection, access to care, and programs for people affected by cancer.
Practice Pink allows Henry Schein customers to participate through the purchase of designated pink products, including healthcare consumables, practice supplies, and apparel.
“For two decades, Practice Pink has shown what is possible when our global healthcare community comes together around a shared purpose,” said Jennifer Kim Field, vice president, chief sustainability officer, Henry Schein. “What began as an effort to raise awareness has grown into a meaningful tradition of collaboration among our customers, supplier partners, Team Schein Members, and nonprofit partners. We are proud of what we have accomplished together and remain committed to supporting organizations making a difference for people impacted by cancer.”
Participating countries support organizations and activities within their respective communities. In the United States, Practice Pink supports Ronald McDonald House Charities. Organizations supported in Europe include ALADINA in Spain, Cancer Research UK, KWF in the Netherlands, LILT in Italy, and Odyssea in France.
The anniversary comes as the International Agency for Research on Cancer, the cancer agency of the World Health Organization, estimates that one in five people worldwide will develop cancer during their lifetime. An estimated 20.6 million people were diagnosed globally in 2024, according to figures cited in the release.
Practice Pink is part of Henry Schein Cares, the company’s corporate citizenship program, which is marking its 25th anniversary in 2026. The program involves dental and medical professionals, supplier partners, employees, and nonprofit organizations in North America, Europe, and other regions.
