Nominations are open for the 2027 Denobi Awards, which recognize individuals and teams for contributions to dentistry, oral health, patient care, education, innovation, and the dental profession.
Presented annually at a gala reception, the awards are intended to recognize the work of individuals and clinical teams from throughout the global dental industry, with a focus on efforts that improve dentistry, oral health, patient care, professional culture, education, access, innovation, or community well-being. Areas highlighted by Denobi include clinical excellence, leadership, education, service, innovation, and community impact.
Eligible nominees include clinical dental professionals and teams; educators, researchers, and students; entrepreneurs, founders, executives, and other business leaders; innovators and technology leaders; administrative and operational professionals; sales and industry professionals; and speakers, advocates, and community leaders.
Nominations opened Oct. 1, and will remain open through Dec. 31. Self-nominations are permitted, and nominators may submit more than one individual or team, although a separate form is required for each nominee. Shortlisted nominees are expected to be contacted in January.
Nominators must provide their own contact information as well as the nominee’s name and contact information. Submissions also require selection of the appropriate Denobi Award category and a written nomination of up to 750 words describing the nominee’s work and accomplishments. Nominators also have the option of submitting a nomination video of up to 1 minute.
The Denobi Awards also announced plans to change the format of its 2027 celebration. Rather than relying on its traditional gala format, the organization said it is developing a new approach to recognizing nominees and winners and bringing members of the dental community together. Additional details about the 2027 event will be announced at a later date.
