Ultradent Products, Inc. has introduced Opalescence™ Go™ Advanced prefilled whitening trays, a take-home whitening system featuring one-step placement. According to the company, the Opalescence Go Advanced design eliminates the outer placement tray used for placement, reducing packaging waste and simplifying the process.
Each flexible UltraFit™ tray is prefilled with whitening gel that is injection-molded onto the tray to provide consistent distribution and placement during treatment, the company said.
The trays are ready for use directly from the package and adapt to the patient's dentition, according to Ultradent. The system does not require boil-and-bite trays, custom impressions, or a light.
According to the company, Opalescence Go Advanced can whiten teeth by up to five shades. The product is available in 10% and 15% hydrogen peroxide concentrations, both in Cool Mint flavor. Recommended wear time is 30 to 60 minutes for the 10% formulation and 15 to 20 minutes for the 15% formulation.
