Colgate-Palmolive has launched Serving Smiles, a video-first podcast series aimed at addressing health misinformation and improving access to evidence-based wellness information among Generation Z audiences.
Hosted by actor and content creator Pressley Hosbach and advocate, actor and podcaster Madison Tevlin, the six-episode series features discussions with subject matter experts on topics including oral health, skin health, pet care, personal care and sustainability. The podcast is distributed through video-centric platforms such as YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, as well as major podcast services.
The initiative responds to growing concerns about the role of social media in shaping health behaviors and perceptions. According to data cited by the company, 38% of Gen Z individuals report trusting social media over healthcare providers for health advice, while health misinformation may be present in as many as 87% of health-related social media posts.
For dental professionals, the series highlights the broader challenge of communicating evidence-based health information to younger audiences who increasingly rely on digital platforms for education and guidance. One episode focuses specifically on oral health routines, alongside discussions addressing other aspects of personal wellness.
“Colgate-Palmolive – a health and hygiene leader whose Colgate brand is in more homes than any other – is uniquely positioned to create a platform for these conversations. Through our relationships, we are able to provide expert credibility across oral health, skin health, pet nutrition, home & personal care and sustainability, in ways built for how Gen Z actually consumes content,” said Dana Bolden, Chief Communications Officer, Colgate-Palmolive. “By providing access to experts with actionable, science-backed, confidence-building tips, we are helping Gen Z have plenty of reasons to feel their best and serve smiles.”
The podcast is part of Colgate-Palmolive’s broader Make More Smiles platform, which focuses on health, wellness and confidence-building initiatives. Through expert interviews and discussions, the program seeks to provide accessible information on everyday health practices and decision-making.
