RightSourcing by Magnit has introduced Magnit Shift, a workforce management capability designed to support healthcare organizations—including dental service organizations—in coordinating per diem and registry staffing within a unified system. Dental Care Alliance (DCA) is among the first organizations to implement the platform.
Magnit Shift is integrated within the broader Magnit vendor management system (VMS) and is intended to provide operational oversight of both internal float pools and external per diem labor. The system prioritizes internal staffing resources when filling open shifts, extending to external suppliers only when necessary. This approach is structured to help organizations manage labor utilization while maintaining coverage.
Within the platform, users can manage shift requirements in real time, post and fill openings, review candidate qualifications, and monitor timekeeping and performance metrics through centralized dashboards. Compliance workflows are embedded to verify credentials, documentation, and onboarding requirements prior to and during shift assignments.
A mobile application component enables clinicians and support staff to view and accept available shifts, update availability, and receive notifications. This may be particularly relevant in dental and healthcare settings where staff frequently move between locations or roles.
Beyond scheduling, the platform connects internal staff, contract labor, and per diem resources within a single system. This structure is intended to provide greater visibility into workforce utilization and spending, while supporting staffing adjustments in response to fluctuating patient demand.
"Healthcare organizations are navigating enormous pressure on cost, capacity, and workforce stability," said Matt Jensen, Head of RightSourcing by Magnit Global. "Magnit Shift is the answer to what we have heard from the industry for years - give us one place to manage our per diem and registry workforce, connect it to our internal resources, and give us the tools to make smarter decisions in real time. Magnit Shift puts organizations back in control of their entire workforce strategy."
“Through our strategic partnership with Rightsourcing, Dental Care Alliance has created the nation’s first contingent labor VMS and managed services provider (MSP) built exclusively for dentistry, creating not only the first VMS/MSP but also incorporating a shift management platform, Magnit Shift, based on our recommendations to meet the growing demand for shift-based, on-demand talent,” said Jeff Battinus, Head of Talent Acquisition at DCA. “We are proud to be pioneering the clinical per diem space and proudly carrying this transformative message across the country—reshaping the future of dentistry together.”
