Premier Dental® has announced the introduction of the Lumira™ LED Curing Light, a curing device developed to support consistent and predictable performance in clinical dental settings. The system is designed with attention to durability and ergonomics, reflecting current practice needs.
“With Lumira™, we focused on delivering a curing light clinicians can trust—combining power, precision, and thoughtful design to support consistent clinical outcomes,” said Larry Pijanowski, Director of Product Management, Premier Dental®. “Its reliable performance and durable, ergonomic construction reflect our commitment to inspired solutions that enhance confidence and efficiency in daily dentistry.”
Lumira™ operates across a wavelength range of 440 nm–490 nm, enabling polymerization of camphorquinone-based restorative materials. The device provides irradiance levels of up to 3,000 mW/cm², supporting efficient curing protocols. Its collimated beam is designed to maintain uniform light distribution, which may contribute to consistent depth of cure, including in deeper restorations.
The device incorporates a lightweight, all-metal construction and a low-profile head with 360-degree rotation to facilitate intraoral access. It offers seven operating modes—Normal, High, Turbo, Ortho, Soft, Pulse, and Check (transillumination)—allowing clinicians to select settings appropriate for a range of procedural requirements.
The Premier® Lumira™ LED Curing Light is currently available in the United States and Canada through authorized Premier Dental distributors.
