A-dec and Dentsply Sirona have announced an extension of their strategic partnership through the integration of the Dentsply Sirona Midwest® Motor System into A-dec 500 Pro and A-dec 300 Pro delivery systems.
The integration incorporates the Midwest Motor System directly into the A-dec Pro delivery platforms, consolidating restorative, endodontic, implant, and apex-locating capabilities within a single operatory solution. The approach is intended to reduce reliance on separate tabletop devices and support streamlined clinical workflows.
“By integrating the Midwest Motor System into A-dec delivery systems, we’re making it easier for clinicians to access the precision and versatility they rely on every day,” said Mark Bezjak, Group Vice President, Americas at Dentsply Sirona. “This new phase of our strategic partnership advances connected dentistry by bringing together integrated technologies, software enabled updates, and global support—helping dental teams work efficiently and stay focused on patient care.”
Clinical Workflow Integration
For endodontic procedures, the system includes an integrated apex locator and a preloaded file library featuring Dentsply Sirona’s WaveOne and Reciproc systems. These features are designed to support procedural efficiency within a unified interface.
In implant workflows, the integration incorporates a built-in peristaltic pump for sterile saline delivery and preloaded implant libraries to assist with procedural setup and execution.
Across procedures, clinicians operate through a single touchscreen and shared foot control, an arrangement intended to support consistency and reduce the need to transition between multiple devices.
Integrated implantology functionality will be available on A-dec 500 Pro delivery systems. Integrated apex location will be available on both A-dec 500 Pro and A-dec 300 Pro delivery systems equipped with DS5 touchscreens.
Software-enabled Platform
The Midwest integration operates through A-dec+, an upgradable software platform designed to deliver updates to connected A-dec equipment. Practices utilizing integrated Midwest endodontic and implant capabilities will receive software updates—including additions to Dentsply Sirona endodontic file and implant libraries—without requiring hardware modifications.
“A dec is committed to building delivery systems designed for longevity, so operatories can evolve as practices grow,” said Ryan Williams, A-dec Senior Vice President of Product & Technology. “By offering premier integrated solutions such as Midwest’s apex location and implantology, doctors can expand the range of treatments they provide, delivering more comprehensive care through a single, seamless interface.”
Availability
The integrated system is scheduled for availability in Q1 2026 through selected dealers. It will be offered as a factory-installed option on new A-dec 500 Pro and A-dec 300 Pro delivery systems, as well as retrofit kits for existing A-dec Pro delivery systems. Availability may vary by country.
