Planet DDS has announced the launch of AI Voice Perio, a voice-powered periodontal charting system built within its Denticon practice management platform. According to the company, the product is designed for dental support organizations and multi-location dental groups that are seeking consistent periodontal data capture as they scale operations.
AI Voice Perio records periodontal measurements in real time during exams through voice commands, removing the need for manual data entry. Spoken inputs are entered directly into Denticon’s periodontal charting fields and stored automatically in patient records, with the goal of reducing interruptions during hygiene appointments and limiting data variability across locations.

According to the company, AI Voice Perio uses a standardized voice-driven structure so that periodontal exams are performed the same way regardless of clinician or practice location. This approach is intended to support comparable data over time, allowing organizations to maintain consistent patient histories and monitor clinical trends as additional locations are added.
The system includes voice-activated charting that allows hygienists to speak measurements directly into Denticon, operation within Denticon’s existing clinical data model to avoid reconciliation between systems, real-time voice corrections during exams, standardized data capture intended to reduce variation caused by individual preferences, and oral health report cards saved within the patient record to support longitudinal tracking.
DSOs and multi-location practices are already using the product, according to the company, with reported effects on workflow and exam consistency.
