Productive Dentist Academy (PDA) has announced that Sara Hansen, Sr. Marketing Advisor at Phoenix Dental Agency, will join Regan Robertson as co-host of the Everyday Practices Dental Podcast. Robertson has served as the podcast’s longtime host and is PDA’s Chief Communications Officer.
The change marks a new phase for the podcast, with increased attention on practical dental marketing and brand experience strategies grounded in day-to-day practice realities. The updated format is intended to provide dental professionals with applied insights, decision-making frameworks, and examples that reflect the operational and financial constraints of real practices.
As part of this transition, Dr. Maggie Augustyn and Dr. Chad Johnson will step away from their co-host roles. PDA acknowledged their contributions to the podcast’s development and its role in fostering open, reflective conversations within the profession. Both remain members of the PDA faculty community.
“The word ‘marketing’ might as well be a four-letter word in dentistry,” says Regan Robertson. “There is nothing more powerful than experiencing a paradigm shift within oneself that elevates the practice. Sara represents the dental office manager who once dreaded marketing, until she found a better way. Her real-world experience inside a dental practice, combined with her work alongside practices across the country today, gives her a rare, practical perspective. She understands how to build authentic, effective marketing systems that fit real teams, real budgets, and real goals. That grounded, execution-focused insight is exactly what this next chapter of the podcast is about.”
In her role at Phoenix Dental Agency, Hansen has worked with dental practices across the country on aligning marketing activity with business objectives, patient experience, and long-term growth considerations. Her perspective reflects both internal practice operations and external advisory work.
“Marketing shouldn’t feel overwhelming or disconnected from your day-to-day practice, and that’s exactly why this podcast exists,” says Sara Hansen. “The Everyday Practices Dental Podcast dives into the strategies that truly move the needle, from internal marketing and patient trust to visibility and retention. With honest conversations and actionable insights, listeners walk away with clarity, confidence, and marketing decisions that actually work in the real world.”
Future episodes will address topics such as patient acquisition and retention, internal marketing systems, brand trust, authentic storytelling, digital visibility, and how marketing choices intersect with staffing, scheduling, and operational workflows. Conversations will continue to feature a range of professional perspectives, with an emphasis on measurable outcomes and practical application.
Dr. Augustyn and Dr. Johnson were recognized for shaping the podcast’s tone and scope during their tenure as co-hosts.
“We are incredibly grateful to Maggie and Chad for the openness and authenticity they brought to the podcast,” Robertson says. “Their contributions helped normalize important conversations in dentistry, and their impact will always be a part of this podcast’s legacy.”
The Everyday Practices Dental Podcast continues its focus on supporting independent dental practices through relevant, experience-based discussions. New episodes featuring Robertson and Hansen will be released weekly and will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and the Productive Dentist Academy website.
