Planet DDS has announced AutoEligibility, an integration that brings DentalXChange real-time eligibility data directly into Denticon. According to the company, the feature is designed to reduce administrative workload and allow dental teams to access insurance coverage information without leaving their practice management platform.
According to Planet DDS, AutoEligibility provides coverage details such as deductibles, waiting periods, and Medicaid eligibility. The company states that integrating this information into Denticon is intended to support front-office teams by reducing denials and improving collection efficiency.
Barbara Maciel, team manager at GoDental Brands, said the integration has streamlined work for her team. “What used to take our insurance verification team hours now happens seamlessly within Denticon,” she said. “We currently have one person responsible for completing all insurance verifications for an entire office, and AutoEligibility has made the process so fast and efficient that one team member will now be able to support multiple offices. It’s helping us streamline our workflow, improve accuracy, and create a much better experience for our team, our patients, and our front office.”
According to the company, the integration is intended to address a major administrative challenge. The Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) report cited in the announcement identifies insurance verification as nearly a quarter of all dental administrative transactions and a frequent source of claim delays and denials. Planet DDS states that AutoEligibility reduces manual work by syncing coverage data through DentalXChange so staff can view eligibility results within Denticon.
With AutoEligibility, the company states that front-desk and billing teams can save four to six hours per office per day by automating eligibility checks; prevent denials before submission by having visibility into full coverage details; build patient trust through accurate cost estimates; and standardize revenue cycle performance across multiple locations.
Maciel said her team expects additional improvements in efficiency. “Right now, one team member completes around forty verifications per day, and with the implementation of AutoEligibility, we expect that number to double due to the speed and efficiency it brings to our processes,” she said.
According to Planet DDS, AutoEligibility was developed to support multi-location dental organizations that require consistent processes across offices. The company states that the integration combines DentalXChange connectivity with Denticon’s cloud infrastructure to provide detailed, real-time eligibility information rather than a simple confirmation of coverage status.
Eric Giesecke, CEO of Planet DDS, said, “Eligibility verification is one of the biggest causes of lost revenue and wasted time in dentistry. AutoEligibility eliminates that friction by automating verification across every location, every patient, every day. It’s faster, smarter, and far more accurate, helping practices protect cash flow, and focus on care, not paperwork. With this launch, we’re taking another step towards our mission: Dental software is broken. We aim to fix it.”
According to Planet DDS, AutoEligibility is part of a broader effort to reduce manual revenue cycle processes through Denticon. The company develops cloud-based practice management and imaging software for dental support organizations and group practices. Its platform includes Denticon Practice Management, Cloud 9 Ortho Practice Management, and Apteryx Cloud Imaging. Planet DDS reports that its products are used in more than 13,000 practices by more than 118,000 users.
