Nordin has announced the introduction of CorPOSIT, a dual-cure material designed for both post cementation and core buildup procedures. The formulation was developed to provide reliable post retention and stable core reconstruction in restorative workflows.
CorPOSIT utilizes a combined light- and self-curing mechanism to facilitate immediate stabilization during placement while achieving complete polymerization in areas where light access is limited. According to Nordin, the material was developed with a focus on compressive strength, adhesion, and the long-term stability of the restoration.
The material exhibits flow characteristics suitable for post insertion while maintaining sufficient viscosity for controlled core buildup. Its radiopacity supports postoperative evaluation and radiographic assessment.
Key material features include:
- dual-cure resin chemistry allowing thorough set in deep or complex canal preparations
- high compressive strength and adhesion to both fiber and metal posts
- handling properties optimized for dual indications—post cementation and core reconstruction
- radiopaque formulation to assist with diagnostic visibility
CorPOSIT is distributed through authorized Nordin partners. Further information is available at www.nordindental-usa.com.
