Graduate students, faculty, and key opinion leaders in periodontology gathered at the 2025 American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Annual Meeting in Toronto to celebrate the winners of this year’s GC Biomaterials’ Cytrans® Challenge Contest. More than 125 attendees were present for the announcement on October 15.
Dr. Hsin Chiang Lee of Indiana University was awarded first place for “Radiographic and Histologic Evaluation of the Application of Carbonate Apatite for Alveolar Ridge Preservation and Augmentation: A Case Report.” Dr. Brittany Wall of UCLA received second place, and Dr. Max Perilgut of Texas A&M University placed third. Monetary awards of $5,000, $3,000, and $1,000 were presented. As Dr. Wall was unable to attend, Dr. Yusuke Hamada accepted the award on her behalf.
