Henry Schein, Inc. has opened applications for its Henry Schein Cares Global Student Outreach Program, an initiative supporting U.S.-based dental schools and student-led organizations in delivering oral health care to communities with limited access.
Administered through Henry Schein Cares—the company’s global corporate citizenship initiative—the program provides selected academic institutions with in-kind product donations valued at up to $10,000. Supplies include a range of preventive, restorative, and diagnostic materials, as well as instruments and equipment. The donations are intended to support student-led outreach efforts under faculty supervision, facilitating emergency care, screenings, and treatment services in underserved areas.
“The best opportunity to integrate volunteerism into a health professional’s career is during school, pairing academic learning with real-world impact,” said David Kochman, Senior Vice President, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. “Through the Global Student Outreach Program, we are helping health care professionals treat patients and tapping into the passion and potential of the next generation to build a healthier future and foster a lifelong commitment to service, one mission at a time.”
Eligibility is limited to accredited U.S. dental schools and their student organizations. Applicants must submit a detailed mission plan and demonstrate a focus on reaching underserved populations. Proposals must be submitted by a current student or faculty member and are subject to administrative verification. Each school may receive one grant per calendar year.
