Directa USA, the North American subsidiary of Sweden-based Directa Dental Group, has announced the launch of the Polydentia Unica Anterior Matrix System. The product will be available beginning October 2025 through Directa USA and authorized dental dealers.
The Unica Anterior Matrix is designed specifically for anterior restorations and is intended to simplify clinical procedures while supporting esthetic outcomes. Developed in collaboration with Style Italiano, a community of clinicians focused on simplifying restorative dentistry, the matrix system aims to provide efficient adaptation at the gingival margin and interproximal areas.
The matrix is shaped to conform to the natural anatomy of anterior teeth. It is designed to embrace both the cervical and interproximal margins in a single placement. According to Directa USA, this feature preserves the papilla, facilitates natural emergence profiles, and reduces the need for extensive finishing.
The matrix system is intended for use in Class III, Class IV, and direct composite veneer procedures. According to the company, its design minimizes the need for multiple matrices and helps reduce chair time while maintaining soft tissue integrity.
