Ivoclar has launched VivaDent® Polishing Paste in the United States, rebranding its existing Proxyt® prophy paste product. The update includes the introduction of two new flavors—apple and bubblegum—alongside the existing mint variety.
According to the company, VivaDent Polishing Paste maintains the same formulation used in Proxyt, offering multiple levels of abrasiveness designed to polish natural teeth, restorations, implants, and prosthetic reconstructions. The paste is formulated to be gentle on surfaces while preserving the gloss of high-quality restorations.
Ivoclar stated that the addition of new flavors is intended to improve the experience for patients, especially younger individuals or those with sensitivity to taste.
“The rebrand to VivaDent® Polishing Paste better aligns with Ivoclar’s mission to offer smart, effective solutions that elevate everyday care,” said Gabby Burns, Ivoclar associate marketing manager. “These new flavors are just one way we continue to prioritize patient comfort and satisfaction.”
VivaDent Polishing Paste became available through authorized distributors across the United States in August 2025.
