Essential Dental Systems (EDS) announced the launch of Turbo-CR, a new product developed to assist dental professionals in the removal of calculus during hygiene appointments.
Turbo-CR uses activated foaming technology designed to soften calculus without damaging enamel, according a press release from the company. EDS states that this treatment approach can reduce patient chairtime and help dental professionals more easily access difficult areas, such as interproximal and subgingival spaces.
Turbo-CR includes a chromatic indicator built into the formulation. The company notes that this feature is intended to enhance visual guidance during procedures, helping clinicians identify coverage and allowing for more controlled application.
EDS describes Turbo-CR as suitable for various hygiene appointments, including both routine cleanings and more advanced procedures such as scaling and root planing. The product is formulated to work on multiple surfaces and materials, including implants, where it is intended to remove buildup without scratching titanium or ceramic.
“We believe Turbo-CR will revolutionize the way dental professionals approach calculus removal,” EDS said in the press release. “With its advanced technology and patient-centered design, Turbo-CR is poised to become a cornerstone in modern dental hygiene practices.”
Turbo-CR is now available through authorized EDS distributors. More information is available at www.edsdental.com.
