Michelle Strange, MSDH, RDH, has announced a new chapter in her dental hygiene career: She is now the owner of her own practice. Celebrating two decades in the dental field, Strange recently shared the news on LinkedIn, expressing her joy over this milestone. As the new owner of SmileLogic, Inc., in Broomfield, Colorado, Strange says she is excited to implement the values she’s long advocated for in dental care.
“I am beyond excited to do things my way — to provide prevention-forward, minimally invasive care that truly puts patients first,” Strange shared. “With my background in motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and patient-centric dentistry, I’m ready to bring value-based care with prevention at the forefront. And of course, with my years of expertise in infection control, I can promise that every visit will be as safe as possible.”
Strange’s journey to practice ownership has been an exciting one, and she is grateful for the support she’s received along the way. “The best part? I finally get to practice everything I’ve been preaching for years — without having to ask permission,” she said.
Strange also took time to acknowledge the individuals who helped make her transition to ownership smooth. “A huge thank you to Angie Collins Rhoades, RDH, for making this transition so smooth,” she said. “I know not all practice purchases go this easily, but she has set me up for success, and I’m beyond grateful.” Strange also acknowledged Lana Rivera for assistance with insurance paperwork, as well as her “Success Circle” of friends and supporters.
For patients in the Broomfield, Colorado, area seeking quality, prevention-focused dental care, Strange invites them to SmileLogic, Inc., where she is eager to continue providing exceptional care.
Beyond her work as a practice owner, Strange is a passionate advocate for expanding the knowledge of her colleagues and community in the dental field. She earned a Bachelor’s of Health Science from Medical University of South Carolina and a Master’s in Dental Hygiene Education from the University of Bridgeport. Throughout her career, she has participated in local volunteer work and global outreach missions, further demonstrating her commitment to the profession and the broader impact of dental care.
In addition to her new practice, Strange continues to engage the dental community through her video podcast, “A Strange Curiosity,” presented by Inside Dental Hygiene, which explores the latest trends, tools, and techniques in dental hygiene. Hosted by Strange herself, the series provides valuable insights into dental innovations and best practices. The series is available at www.aegisdentalnetwork.com/tv/a-strange-curiosity.
