What is different about Esa?
The cup is very soft and easily manipulated, which is a must for adaptation to the tooth surface.
How important is weight?
Esamate's extremely light weight makes it easy to use and maneuver. This handpiece is adding years to my ability to keep practicing.
How does the motor handle?
The Esa motor keeps psi speed window perfectly dialed in. No need to adjust internal psi output of my rheostat to achieve the perfect speed.
My passion is public health, as this was the model I had learned in the Air Force. In addition to working at the Native American Health Center Community Clinic, I spend 2 days in a private orthodontic practice, and teach clinically at the University of the Pacific. A colleague showed me an Esa and shared a study of the risk of patient infection from traditional cone motor and shorter disposable prophy angles. Then I tried the Esa motor, and the angles went from great to fantastic. The motor/handpiece combination is also extremely quiet-another plus.
